When it comes to the Pacific Northwest, summer doesn’t really get started until the 4th of July. That means that this area is bustling with barbecues, swimming, and of course friends and family. But after doing the same thing year after year, it might be time to change things up. This time, consider letting your young ones spend the 4th of July at Camp Colman!
Here are just some of the reasons to consider sending your child to camp for the holiday.
1. They’ll Enjoy Kid-Focused Fun
There are few places where your child can have more fun than at camp because fun is the #1 goal! Summer camp is made just for kids. Which means you can expect your child to come home from Camp Colman raving about cookouts, s’mores, or just getting to spend all week playing with their friends. Most importantly, you know that they will be under the care of experienced camp staff, which means a safe 4th of July as well.
2. The Lagoon Fireworks Show
Each summer, the residents who share the lagoon with Camp Colman celebrate the 4th of July with a fireworks show! It's a great way for campers to experience the wonder and excitement of fireworks in a safe way with friends.
3. They’ll Learn About Different Cultures
Because the 4th of July is so important to the United States, it can be easy to forget that it’s also unique. Y Summer Camps include international staff who are from different cultures and nations. What better way to celebrate America than by learning about other cultures while also getting to share some of the U.S.A’s traditions as well.
4. You Can Take Some “Me” Time
Chances are it’s been a while since you’ve spent a holiday without the whole family. Sometimes, everyone just needs a little “me” time. Whether you spend it relaxing at home or celebrating with friends, this 4th of July can belong to you to spend however you please.
