An Enhanced Website Experience Starts June 2024

We are excited to announce updates coming to our website starting in June 2024. The update will make it easier to find account help and resources, increase accessibility, and lay a foundation to bring you information faster.
These website enhancements are a part of a series of member experience investments that our President & CEO, Loria Yeadon, announced earlier as “[seeking to create] an excellent member experience, focused on you:”
“We want our technology to help our members, like you, focus on what matters most: your health journey.”
Updates coming in June include:
Improved Site Navigation
Our Support Center will be easier to access as it is now located in the menu bar at the top of the page. There you will find information to help with account management plus other popular resources like financial assistance, location and hours, and program registration.
Improved User Accessibility
The June update will bring our website closer to our mission of welcoming all people. The YMCA of Greater Seattle is committed to inclusivity, including making sure that our website is accessible to all. The updates follow the recommended Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) including higher contrast colors and improved screen reader support features.
While the “look and feel” of the website will not appear much different, the changes will make the website easier to navigate, so that everyone can access all that the Y has to offer.
Laying a Foundation for Our Future
The June update will also enhance our website’s performance and security, and help us establish a foundation to bring our members and website visitors a more engaging and consistent online experience. There is more work to do and bricks to lay, but with this foundation in place, we are closer to delivering on our mission to make the Y accessible for all.
