When Luis aged out of the foster care system, he felt unprepared to live on his own. With no family to support him, working part-time while attending college made it impossible to afford housing on his own. With your support, Luis was welcomed into a transitional housing program through the Y.
With a stable home life, Luis is able to focus on school and gain valuable job experience, which will help him get a living-wage job and move into his own apartment.
“I’m glad I’m heading in the right direction. I owe everything to the YMCA.”
