Dear YMCA of Greater Seattle Community,
Yesterday morning, Governor Inslee extended the state’s indoor in-person restrictions on fitness facilities through Monday, January 4, 2020 in order to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Originally these restrictions were planned to end on Monday, December 14.
We are still here for you by continuing to provide the following services without interruption:
-
Lap swim, family swim, and private swim lessons to help you maintain your health. We continue to operate our pools safely by adhering to all existing safety protocols.
-
On-site early education and Y LEAP Academy to keep kids active and engaged.
-
Virtual activities including fitness classes in our Healthy Living Room and ways for families to thrive in our Family Room.
-
The Y Social Impact Center including behavioral and mental health services, foster care, and housing and meal support.
Sustaining Member Y Bucks will continue to be available to redeem over phone or email. Their expiration date is Thursday, December 31, 2020.
PLUS, we’ve added more customer support to make it easier to use your Y bucks, make a reservation, or ask an account question. Phones are open 9:00 am–5:00 pm Monday-Friday and 10:00 am–2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday or you can always visit our online member support hub.
All other indoor in-person activities remain suspended through at least Monday, January 4, 2020. We are exploring ways to adapt our programs, including outdoor programming when weather permits. Stay tuned for more announcements about this and other ways to engage with the Y in the coming weeks.
We are committed to keeping you updated about changes in our programming. You can also find answers to common questions in our online Welcome Back guide or FAQs.
Membership at the Y
What was your reason for joining the Y? Over the years we’ve heard stories about making new friends, achieving incredible fitness goals, and connecting with a community that takes care of one another when times are tough.
Of all the personal reasons members have for joining the Y, there is one we all hold in common: that we can achieve more together than we can alone. It’s this belief and commitment to our work that has held our community together through this challenging time.
We are so grateful for your commitment to this organization and financial support. As the region’s leading nonprofit, we rely on your membership dues to help sustain our operations. Thank you for coming together to ensure that the Y can continue to be a force for good in our community for years to come.
Options for Membership
Your membership will remain active so that you can continue to enjoy the pool, virtual classes, and other member-only events and pricing. You have the following options if you need them:
-
Keep your active membership (no action required).
-
Place your membership on hold using this form to temporarily suspend your dues.
- Cancel your membership using this form. If you need a refund for this period of time, please let us know in the “Leave a Message” section of the form.
You are so important to the Y. Our thoughts are with you and your loved ones as we get through the winter together.
Sincerely,
The YMCA of Greater Seattle
