Recipe: Breakfast Banana Splits

Breakfast banana splits

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons nut butter
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1-3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, divided
  • 2 bananas, peeled and halved, lengthwise
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chips
  • Raspberries to garnish
     

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Whisk nut butter, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon water, and 1 tablespoon maple syrup until smooth.
  2. Add more water – one tablespoon at a time until you have a syrupy consistency.
  3. Arrange bananas into two bowls.
  4. Whisk yogurt, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and the remaining 1 tablespoon maple syrup until combined.
  5. Use a ¼ cup scoop to divide the yogurt between the bananas and drizzle with the chocolate sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with coconut and mini chocolate chips and garnish with raspberries.
