Recipe: Tandoori Shrimp Skewers

INGREDIENTS

  • 1-pound prawns or Argentinian red shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Place shrimp in a large bowl and add remaining ingredients. Toss to thoroughly mix and coat the shrimp.
  3. Allow shrimp to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to two hours.
  4. Thread the shrimp onto skewers.
  5. Heat a grill over medium-high heat and grill shrimp on both sides until slightly charred and fully cooked.
     

SERVES: 4
