Our Volunteers? Total Legends.
At the YMCA of Greater Seattle, volunteers aren’t just nice to have — they’re mission-critical. Every moment they give lifts someone else up. And in 2024, that added up to:
1,279 volunteers
167 community projects
2,038 assignments
47,838 hours of impact
From camps to classrooms, kitchens to parades, our volunteers are living proof that small acts create big change. Whether you have an hour to give or are ready for something ongoing, your time and presence matter. The Y thrives because of our volunteers — and with so many ways to serve, there truly is a place for everyone.
The list below celebrates just some of the incredible ways people have given their time to help others thrive. Whether you’re looking for a new way to get involved or simply want to see what’s possible, we hope this snapshot of service inspires you.
