As the partial government shutdown continues, the YMCA of Greater Seattle is concerned for our friends and members who are federal employees. We know that making ends meet without a paycheck is extremely stressful, and we want to help alleviate some of this stress for our neighbors.
We’re ensuring that all people who have been affected by the shutdown still have access to health, wellness and childcare services at the YMCA of Greater Seattle.
Until the shutdown ends, the YMCA of Greater Seattle is offering federal employees with a valid government ID waived membership dues and childcare fees. This service is offered to current members as well as individuals and families who join the Y during January, 2019. Additionally, we welcome all non-member employees to come as our guest to refresh and renew with a free cup of coffee, an exercise class or swim in the pool.
The Y is about creating a place where we can make friends, meet goals and find a place to belong. The Y is where we lean in to support all our neighbors when they’re experiencing unplanned challenges.
To use this program, please visit Members Services at any of our Seattle area branches.
