I've lived and worked in Washington, D.C. for the last ten years, and I owe that to Youth & Government. Youth & Government allowed me to take an interest in politics and government, and turn it into action.
But more fundamentally, it motivated me to participate in democracy at every chance I get. I show up to community meetings, I volunteer for campaigns and in the community, I contact elected officials - because I know it matters. That's something Youth & Government taught me, and I will be living those values the rest of my life.
