Counseling Services

Counseling is for everybody. From ages 6 to 106+, our licensed therapists offer strength-based, trauma-informed approaches to help you understand yourself and gain skills to manage life’s challenges.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, our communities’ need for mental health support and substance use services has skyrocketed, leading us to adjust by increasing our offerings to provide these critical services to all ages, Y members, and non-members of King County. If you’ve felt isolated, depressed, or anxious during the pandemic, now is the time to contact us. At the Y, our therapists are here to help you care for your whole self with issues such as:

  • Stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Family and relationship issues
  • Grief, loss, and other life transitions
  • Substance use and addiction
  • Self-harm
  • Gender identity
  • Body image
  • Conflict resolution
  • Court requirements related to mental health or substance use
  • Foster support
  • Adoption support

Payment Options and Financial Assistance

Counseling is a critical part of healthcare and all people deserve access. We accept Medicaid and cash payments as well as offer financial aid using a sliding scale which allows everyone to have affordable access to services.

Substance Use Disorder Program

Are you struggling with using substances too much? The Substance Use Disorder program of the Y Social Impact Center is a fully licensed and growing program for all ages, delivering substance use assessments as well as outpatient and referral services. Our experienced team specializes in young adults, adults, LGBTQ, and HIV/HEP-C and has the flexibility to work in a highly individualized fashion, providing treatment in person or through telecare depending on the needs and location of those seeking assistance.

We are committed to working with other agencies and programs to deliver a well-rounded biopsychosocial approach. We accept forms of payment tailored toward affordable access to treatment, including but not limited to fully covered Medicaid insurance, and we have the ability to work with court and other system referrals (except DUI referrals).
