Physical Activity After Cancer
LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a 12-week evidence-based physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors reclaim their health. Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals, such as increasing flexibility and endurance, building muscle, and improving their capacity to perform daily activities.
A medical clearance form and a referral from a medical provider are required to participate. We accept referrals from many medical providers, including primary care and specialist physicians, nursing staff, and physical therapists.

“What I liked about it (Livestrong) – it was always varied with different things to do each time. I am going to make it a practice now to do my walking exercises every day.” – Doug
“You don’t realize what an accomplishment it is to dress yourself until you can’t. With this program, now I can.” – Jenny
