Because – as well as making a real difference in your community – volunteering can boost your physical and mental health and be an opportunity to make awesome new, generous friends.

Birthday Party Helpers – Kent Y

Kids know how to have fun like no one else. Do you? Then help make Y birthday parties unforgettable by lending a hand setting up and playing games!
Minibus Drivers for Older Adults – Bellevue Y

Like driving? Wanna help keep our active older adult members on the move? Get trained to drive our 14-passenger vans.
Gardeners for Community Garden – University Y, Seattle

Got no garden and two green thumbs? Got a garden and wanna share your skills? Come help grow fresh veggies for local food banks and Y meal programs.
Community Meal Helpers – Popy’s Café, Shoreline
Wednesdays from 2:00-7:00 pm
Young, old, neighbors, strangers. POPY’s Café won’t turn anyone away. But they can’t do it without people like you stepping up to do the work, and the dishes.
Backpack Meal Packers - Newcastle
Tuesdays from 12:00-2:00 pm
Kids facing homelessness or experiencing food insecurity depend on the meals they get at school. But what about the weekends? Come help keep them fed by preparing backpack meals.

Scotland just made period products free to all menstruators. We aren’t there yet. Until then, how about running a donation drive at work and dropping off boxes at Northshore (Bothell) or Matt Griffin YMCA (SeaTac)?
Meal Preparers – Y Social Impact Center, Seattle

Love cooking as a team? We’d love to have you. Hot meals are vital to our young adult housing program and drop-in centers, and they depend on people like you. A great fit for groups of 5-15.
