Choose From Two Camp Experiences
Family Camp provides a great opportunity for families to unwind and reconnect away from the pressures of daily life, just a short drive away.
Camp Colman on Key Peninsula
Camp Colman, located on Key Peninsula, is just an hour and a half from Seattle on Case Inlet. The easy drive will take you over the historic Tacoma Narrows bridge which provides magnificent views. With 100 acres of forest, a mile of beachfront, and a saltwater lagoon, Colman is the perfect place to explore nature with your family!
Camp Orkila on Orcas Island
Camp Orkila is located in the breathtaking San Juan Islands. The route includes a two hour drive from Seattle to Anacortes where you will board a ferry headed to Orcas Island. Getting there is half the fun as the scenic ferry ride provides incredible views of the Puget Sound. With more than 280 acres of beach, forest, and fields, Orkila will capture your imagination.
Head South to Camp Colman
If exploring nature by trail or boat, or viewing blue heron in their natural habitat appeals to you, head south to Camp Colman. Highlights include an enclosed saltwater estuary with bird watching opportunities, climbing tower, giant swing, and cozy cabins with private bathrooms and decks.
Tucked amongst Douglas Fir and Cedar trees, the heated cabins at Camp Colman feature a peaceful outdoor deck allowing you to enjoy a book outside surrounded by nature.
Lots of interior space provides a place to eat, sleep, and enjoy family in comfort. Plenty of windows let in sunlight and fresh air while gas stoves take away the chill.
Cabins sleep up to 14 family and friends on bunk-bed style single beds and have electricity with a private bathroom and shower within each cabin.
Our recently renovated Anderson Lodge features a stone fireplace, large deck, and territorial views of the campground and serves as the hub for meal distribution.
Head North to Camp Orkila
If marine exploration and soaring through the sky are your thing, head north to Camp Orkila. Highlights include the Marine Salmon Center with touch tank, beach walks, tide pools, and climbing tower with 1,000 foot zipline. Not to mention gorgeous sunsets over views of the San Juan Islands.
Located near the beach or nestled among the trees, the rustic wood cabins at Camp Orkila are spacious and fully-enclosed from the elements.
They provide a more authentic camping experience and can house up to 12 on single bunk beds. Light is provided by the windows that also offer views of the water.
Recently remodeled central bathhouses are located nearby the cabins and offer hot showers, sinks, and toilets, which are disinfected twice a day.
Meals are prepared in the historic Norman Lodge Dining Hall featuring an expansive deck that overlooks the terrace and has sweeping views of the Sound.
Meals Made for Campers
All meals are included and prepared onsite by our camp chefs. Menu items pictured are examples of typical meals and may vary by season or camp. Traditionally, the first meal is dinner on Friday evening, dependent on time of arrival, with breakfast on Sunday morning as the last meal served. Vegetarian options are always available.
Bountiful Breakfast
Start the day off right with tangy yogurt topped with homemade granola and berries, french toast with sausage, assorted muffins, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, and a variety of juices or milk.
Grab & Go Lunch
Build your own lunch from a selection of sandwich makings including deli meats, cheeses, and egg salad. Or perhaps a Gyro or Quinoa Cucumber salad with assorted chips, or fresh fruit salad.
Delicious Dinner
After an active day, sit down to a satisfying dinner of cheese ravioli with red sauce (veggie or beef), green salad with a variety of dressings, breadsticks, and creamy pudding to complete your meal.
Snacks & Sweets
Satisfy your hunger in between meals with fun string cheese or pita chips and hummus. Then finish off your day with a sweet treat like chocolate cake or ice cream with fresh berries.
Our camps are Nut-Free Zones. In consideration of others, please do not bring nut products or anything containing nut oil to camp.
This was a wonderful experience that our whole family really enjoyed. The staff were welcoming and friendly… We liked the activities offered and enjoyed having some time to enjoy the camp on our own. I have been recommending this to many friends!
