Swimming is an invigorating, low-impact workout and a healthy hobby that can last a lifetime. Its benefits are practically endless, and it is a crucial life-saving skill that everyone should learn. As the national leader in swimming instruction, the Y is the perfect place to find your swim lessons.

Swim lessons help kids, teens, and adults of all ages and abilities find joy in swimming and develop a lifelong love of water with a healthy appreciation for water safety. Group lessons are 30 minutes long and packaged by stages in sessions of six or eight classes. Registration opens seasonally. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long are group swim lessons?

Lessons will be offered for 30 minutes in length once or twice a week. Fees will adjust based upon total number of classes offered in a session.

What about private swim lessons?

Private swim lessons open for registration monthly on the 15th at 6:00 am for Y members, or the 22nd at 6:00 am for Community members for the following month of lessons. Learn more here >>

Do I have to be a YMCA member to participate?

No, swim lessons are open to both Y members and Community members. 

As a member of the Y, you have the benefit of a priority registration window and reduced fees.
