Sustaining Member Y Bucks
Terms & Conditions of Use

Due to a statewide mandate related to the spread of COVID-19, all YMCA of Greater Seattle branches were temporarily closed for a period of time in 2020. Sustaining Member Y Bucks are being offered as a thank you to active YMCA of Greater Seattle members who continued paying membership dues during the closure.

By participating in this Sustaining Member Y Bucks offer, claimants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Claimants must comply with these Terms & Conditions in order to be able to redeem their Sustaining Member Y Bucks.

The YMCA of Greater Seattle reserves the right to modify these terms or to cancel Y Bucks at any time without advance notice.

Each claimant is entitled to the following amounts of Y Bucks, depending on their membership package type and dues paid from March - June 2020:

Regular memberships – self pay:

i. $100 in Sustaining Member Y Bucks per individual or couple membership for each month of dues paid

ii. $150 in Y Bucks per family membership for each month of dues paid

3rd party agreements will be handled on a case by case basis.

If a member has a 100% discount on membership and/or did not pay dues during our closure, they are not eligible for these Y Bucks.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks are valid for a limited time. These Y Bucks will expire 90 days after the reopening date of YMCA of Greater Seattle branches.

These Y Bucks are only valid at YMCA of Greater Seattle locations. For a list of locations, visit seattleymca.org/locations.

If a membership is terminated before redeeming Sustaining Member Y Bucks, the member is not eligible for any Sustaining Member Y Bucks.

If the membership is placed on hold, the member is eligible for only the value of Sustaining Member Y Bucks for the number of months for which they paid dues. Members are not eligible to earn Sustaining Member Y Bucks for the months in which their membership is on hold.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks coupons must be obtained in person at a YMCA of Greater Seattle facility.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks may be obtained by any adult listed on the membership. Adults will be required to show photo identification in order to validate their membership.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged.

The YMCA of Greater Seattle accepts no responsibility for any inaccurate information or for late, lost, or misdirected communication regarding Sustaining Member Y Bucks.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks must be redeemed in person. They cannot be redeemed online or via phone.

Unused Y Bucks from any given transaction will not be given back as change in the form of cash, credit, or Y Bucks.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks can be redeemed for the following programs: child care, Kids University, summer camp, activities, and recurring monthly charges* such as membership dues. These Y Bucks cannot be redeemed for gift cards.

*The maximum number of periods a member can use Sustaining Member Y Bucks to pay recurring monthly charges, including membership dues, is equal to the number of periods the Y was closed. (i.e. if closed for 3 months, member can pay for up to 3 months of membership dues)

Sustaining Member Y Bucks must be surrendered at time of transaction.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks cannot be applied to previous purchases and/or transactions.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks are not redeemable for cash or credit and cannot be combined with any other coupons, offers, discounts or promotions. They may be used in conjunction with income-based scholarship pricing arrangements.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks are not account credits and cannot be placed on a member’s account for later use.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks are non-transferable.

When requesting a refund, transfer, or credit for any activities, membership dues, or other item purchased with Sustaining Member Y Bucks, the value of the Y Bucks will be subtracted from the refund or credit.

Sustaining Member Y Bucks may be donated to the Y to further support the mission of the Y.

Void where prohibited. Sustaining Member Y Bucks are void if restricted or prohibited by law.

YMCA of Greater Seattle reserves the right to change this Agreement at any time in its discretion, which changes we may provide to you by any reasonable means, including without limitation, by posting the revised version of this Agreement at seattleymca.org.
