Terms & Conditions of Use
By participating in this offer, YMCA of Greater Seattle Member agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Member must comply with these Terms & Conditions for the offer to be valid. Any disputed terms will be resolved at the YMCA’s sole discretion.
Terminology
YMCA of Greater Seattle Referring Member (Member) refers to an individual or household with an existing membership at the time of the Referred Friend’s membership enrollment.
YMCA of Greater Seattle Referred Member (Friend) refers to an individual or household who is not an active member and joins at the request of the Member.
Eligibility and Enrollment Details
Membership sale eligibility
- Member must be in good standing at the time of Friend’s membership enrollment.
- Friend must not have an active membership at the time of membership enrollment.
- Member and Friend are not required to be present together at the point of sale.
- If Member and Friend are not present together at the point of sale, Member must provide Friend with Member’s first name, last name, and date of birth. Friend must provide this information to YMCA staff at the point of sale.
- Friend is eligible for $0 Join Fee at the point of sale.
- Member Referral Program is eligible with all recurring and prepaid membership types. Members with a third-party payer are not eligible for a complimentary month of membership. This includes but is not limited to Silver&Fit, Renew Active, and FitOn Health. All YMCA of Greater Seattle membership policies apply.
- Member is eligible for up to six complimentary months in a calendar year.
Complimentary month of membership eligibility
- Member’s eligibility begins the date the Friend activates YMCA membership.
- Member and Friend must remain continuously active members for six months from the date the Friend activates YMCA membership. Member will receive 100% off their membership dues the seventh month after Friend’s activation date.
- If Member or Friend cancels within six months of Friend’s activation date, the Member is no longer eligible for the complimentary month of membership.
- If Member or Friend places membership on hold within six months of Friend’s activate date or is the subject of disciplinary action during this time, the Member is no longer eligible for the complimentary month of membership.
- Members with a third-party payer are not eligible for a complimentary month of membership. This includes but is not limited to Silver&Fit, Renew Active, and FitOn Health.
- If Member has already received six complimentary months through the Member Referral Program, they are no longer eligible for complimentary months in the calendar year.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Membership Cancellation and Refund Policies apply.
- If Member or Friend cancels within six months of Friend’s activation date, the Member is no longer eligible for the complimentary month of membership.
Exchange and transfer eligibility
- YMCA memberships may not be transferred to another account.
- Promotion value not redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with any other coupons, offers, discounts, or promotions.
- Promotion value may not be applied as an account credit and cannot be placed on a member’s account for later use.
- Promotion values are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash or credit.
- Promotion value cannot be applied to previous purchases and/or transactions.
Financial assistance eligibility
- Member and Friend are eligible to apply for financial assistance.
Membership Hold
- If Member or Friend places membership on hold within six months of Friend’s activate date, the Member is no longer eligible for the complimentary month of membership.
Location eligibility
- Member Referral Program is valid at YMCA of Greater Seattle locations only.
- Local membership packages are eligible for Member Referral Program.
Membership benefits eligibility
- Member Referral Program Member and Friend receive full member benefits, including early access to program registration and member-only program rates.
- Member and Friend must comply with all YMCA of Greater Seattle Policies, Code of Conduct, and Guidelines, including: Conditions of Membership and Participation, Facility Age Guidelines, Fitness Center Rules, Kids Zone Rules, Member and Participant Code of Conduct, Gym Rules, Privacy and Safety in Locker Rooms Rules, Privacy Policy, Programs Cancellation and Refund Policies, Release and Waiver of Liability, Rules for Pools and Hot Tubs, Track Rules.
YMCA of Greater Seattle reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions or to terminate this pilot program without prior notice at any time at its discretion, which changes or termination we will post at www.seattleymca.org.
